This AHS Junior Citation winner was named in honor of my father, Joe Simpson. This special daylily is an intense pumpkin orange with a huge red eye that nearly covers the entire flower. Its wide, ruffled red edge often displays knobs and tendrils and the throat is yellow to green. The plant is vigorous and displays three way branching with 15-21 buds and is extremely fertile both ways. The colors on this beauty are nothing short of outstanding. A garden visitor’s delight! Dad’s passion for carpentry developed into a career that brought much beauty and function into many homes and businesses while my siblings and I were growing up, but more importantly, his kind, compassionate and loving heart has touched the lives of many and his steady example of faith has always reflected the heart our Savior. Supplies are extremely limited. Large Single Fan only.
